» Describe your teaching experience in Australia?
I have had a fantastic experience teaching in Australia. I have extended my stay and will be working here for another year.
» What are you enjoying most about Australia?
As a PE teacher I have had the opportunity to learn a variety of sports that we rarely play in Canada such as netball, cricket, lawn bowls, and Australian Rules football. I am also really enjoying traveling so much.
» Did Resource Ed Australia's services meet your expectations?
Resource Ed Australia has provided me with support above and beyond what I would expect for a teaching agency. The staff has always been extremely helpful and they have been able to assist us with many services such as orientation to Victorian schools, resources to use in the classroom, and finding potential contracts.
» Tips for Internationals?
I would recommend that Canadian teachers bring more than $4000 dollars to get set up in the city and they should consider getting an Australian credit card to make travel plans and purchasing e-tickets easier.
"A year teaching in Australia has given me the opportunity to increase the diversity of my teaching practice."

» Describe your teaching experience in Australia?
As a PE teacher in a country where the mainstream sports are quite different from home, I have been able to familiarize myself with these games. I will take the foreign games and introduce them to my students back home to broaden their range of athletic education. The people are great, students love the accent, and it’s easy to have a great rapport with the kids.
» What are you enjoying most about Australia?
A year teaching in Australia has given me the opportunity to increase the diversity of my teaching practice as well as mingle and educate myself on foreign culture. I have also enjoyed the tourism and social aspects of Australian night life.
» Did Resource Ed Australia's services meet your expectations?
Resource Ed Australia has continued to act professionally in all areas. They continually check in to make sure things are going ok. They plan to provide a club that allows other international teachers to meet up and become familiar with the city together. Resource Ed has made this adventure a lot easier and more convenient.
» Tips for Internationals?
Get involved! I play on the Melbourne Ice Hockey team and have met so many people and it has allowed me to travel around the country.
"I was most appreciative when an e-mail was sent from Resource Ed asking how my first day of work had gone. They also took the time to come by and visit the school to see how things were going."

» Describe your teaching experience in Australia?
My teaching experience in Australia has been extremely enjoyable and most beneficial so far. It’s a joy to work in an environment where we as teachers have control in our classroom enabling our students to be as creative as they can be and challenge them to their fullest potential.
» What are you enjoying most about Australia?
Melbourne is a fantastic city! We've been enjoying the seemingly never ending list of things to do. The only negative thing I can think of is not having enough time to do and see everything.
» Did Resource Ed Australia's services meet your expectations?
Resource Ed has gone above and beyond when it comes to meeting my expectations. They have been extremely helpful and have always been quick when answering any questions I have had. I was most appreciative when an e-mail was sent from Resource Ed asking how my first day of work had gone. They also took the time to come by and visit the school to see how things were going.
» Tips for Internationals?
It is an opportunity that most people should experience and embrace. If you feel as though you might become homesick, when deciding whether or not to come here to teach, The International Teachers’ Club makes anyone’s transition away from home as easy as possible.
