All in the industry are hoping that a new, overdue industrial agreement can be struck without too much further delay, but we at Resource Ed don’t wish to wait any longer to increase your pay. Resource Ed teachers will see another rise in pay from the start of Term 2, which will likely coincide nicely with more opportunities for placements.

Most Resource Ed teachers are only too well aware that our salary rates have always compared very favourably with those of other agencies, that they receive high level services from us, and that the simpler single employer model can provide significant earnings advantages over the more difficult circumstances of freelancing between many individual employers. May this pay rise signal a prosperous year ahead for all.

Lots of teachers need to make sure that their VIT registrations and NHCRC are up to date so that they can be ready for action. It seems too that many pay online for the NHCRC to be updated after 5 years, but fail to send their 100 points of ID to the VIT (e.g. certified copies of Passport and Driver’s Licence) that is required by the VIT to trigger the new check. Please give the VIT or us a call if you need to enquire further, just in case you’re still waiting…… ?!?!
